FD RX7 Haltech Dash Install
There are 4 plugs for the OEM dash - 5 if you have an automatic. We do not offer plugs for the gear selector input, unfortunately.
If you have a S6 FD, the common connector goes to OEM plugs 1 and 2, if you have a later model the common connector goes to OEM plugs 1 and 4. For simplicity, all non-usdm plug and pin sets and terminated harnesses are provided with 3d printed plugs instead of a common connector.
Your Haltech dash installation should be straight forward and obvious - plug the respective plug into the connector. These plugs have a keyway that prevent them from being installed incorrectly or in an improper orientation - the plugs will be snug, a small amount of force may be required to plug them in. If you need to disconnect your dash plugs from the housing, the best way is to pinch on both sides of the connector and use a flat hear between the plug and the housing on the side and gently twist, this should give you some extra leverage to pull it out. Make sure to do this evenly on both sides to prevent binding.
Double check all wire leads and colors to be sure everything matches up, we include documentation (both in print in your box we ship to you and on this page) of OEM wire colors as well as the harness pinout to make this very easy. We test every harness we send out but if you are not the original owner of your car there is always a chance the wiring has been changed or modified, or maybe just doesn't fit up with the factory wiring. If anything does not match up with the documentation and you do not know how to troubleshoot please reach out and we will assist you.
Ensure the CAN connector plugs into your ECU CAN lead. All additional connectors will be pinned to a deutsch DTM connector (for spares or button leads). If you need the mating side of that plug please send us a message and we can sell one to you (either just the plug and pins or a pre-terminated harness).
After you insert the dash plugs, plug the AMP 34p connector into the back of your dash and you're good to go!
